Today we announced the appointment of the construction partner, tasked with building Old Oak Common Station.<img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/commonplace-digital-limited/image/upload/c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:eco,w_1024/v1549292020/projects/hs2inoldoak/cropped202-01462_21_Roof_Detail_16_cropped.png" /><img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/commonplace-digital-limited/image/upload/c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:eco,w_1024/v1549452280/projects/hs2inoldoak/cropped128-01462_18_Aerial_A_12.png" />A consortium made up of Balfour Beatty Group Ltd, VINCI Construction UK Ltd, VINCI Construction Grands Projets SAS and SYSTRA Ltd , will be responsible for working with HS2 and the station designers, to coordinate the delivery of the station, including platforms, concourse and links to other rail services. The joint venture of Balfour Beatty and Vinci have experience of some of the world’s most complex construction projects, including the new Tours-Bordeaux TGV, Thames Tideway tunnel and the London 2012 Aquatics Centre. We have just kick-started a round of five engagement events to exhibit the new station design.
