News on HS2 in Old Oak

Drone survey:

We will be carrying out a drone survey of the conveyor route. The drone survey is planned during the week of 22 February 2021. The survey will take one day between 8am and 6pm. The drone survey is weather dependent and the date may change.

Information events:

We are hosting three online community information events to discuss the construction of the HS2 conveyor system in the area. The events will provide further details on the upcoming works to install the conveyor system between our sites and the measures in place to minimise disruption to our neighbours.

The events will take place on:

• Tuesday 23 February 2021 – 5:30pm to 7pm

• Monday 1 March 2021 – 6:30pm to 8pm; and

• Wednesday 3 March 2021 – 12pm to 1:30pm

Utility surveys on Scrubs Lane update:

We notified you in January 2021 about additional drainage surveys along Scrubs Lane. We were not able to complete this survey as planned. The drainage surveys have been rescheduled and will take place overnight on 24 February between 9pm and 6am. We will investigate the condition of the drainage using a camera and may need to flush the drainage system using a high-pressure water jet.

Virtual 1:1s

HS2 will continue with its programme of virtual surgery-style 1:1s during 2021. Dates for 2021 are as follows

• Wednesday 24 February 2021

• Wednesday 24 March 2021

• Wednesday 28 April 2021

• Wednesday 26 May 2021

Piling and diaphragm wall works:

From February to April 2021, we will be setting up large machinery on site, including several mobile cranes, piling rigs and excavation machinery. Due to the size of these machines, and the large vehicles required to bring them to the site, some deliveries of machinery will need to take place early in the morning, between 5am-6:30am, to minimise disruption to traffic.
