Installation of noise and air quality monitors in Old Oak

Local residents may have noticed that noise and air quality monitors have started to be installed across the Old Oak area. These have been installed in anticipation of HS2 undertaking works in the area and are now fully operational so as to measure the existing noise and air quality baseline in the area.

Here is a photo of one of the monitors which is fitted to a lamp column.

The monitors are powered via the lamp column and uses a 3G modem to upload data to a secure data hosting centre.
