News on HS2 in Old Oak

Following the closure of Bethune Road in January and the change of direction of travel on School Road, we are continuing to establish the Victoria Road Crossover Box site.

In order for our contractor to do this, hoarding will be erected around the perimeter of the site. At the moment heras fencing is in place and but work is commencing to begin to install permanent timber hoarding. To do this along Victoria Road and Chase Road and to ensure the safety of our team, pedestrians and road users, there is a requirement to undertake temporary road lane closures on Victoria Road and Chase Road in March.

Whilst these temporary lane closures are in place, utility investigations will also be undertaken. This prevents the need to return and close the lanes for a second time.
