News on HS2 in Old Oak

Extended working hours at the Flat Iron site

During winter 2020-21 we will continue work to upgrade the vehicle holding area in the Flat Iron site on Victoria Road. From 21 November until late January, we will be extending our weekend working hours at the Flat Iron site to complete these works. Our working hours at this site will be 8am to 6pm on weekdays, 8am to 6pm on Saturdays and 9am to 4pm on Sundays.

Works to build the Victoria Road crossover box and ventilation shaft

We are building a crossover box at our site next to the Central line and on the corner of Victoria Road, School Road and Chase Road. From early December, we will start works to build the ventilation shaft. This will be 25 metres wide and about 30 metres deep to connect to the crossover box structure.

Update on boundary wall works on Old Oak Common Lane

We will install concrete blocks at the northern end of the boundary wall to protect against further movement. Work will start on Monday 23 November for approximately one week with a northbound lane closure on Old Oak Common Lane to keep the public safe, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Once the first phase is complete, the second phase will require a temporary road closure for night work which will start on Monday 30 November for approximately 9 nights, Monday to Friday from 10pm to 5am.
